ClosetPacePrivacy policy
Short version: your Poshmark closet, listings and activity stay on your computer. We never ask for your Poshmark password. We collect the minimum needed to take payments and, only if you opt in, anonymous error reports.
This policy covers the ClosetPace Chrome extension and the website closetpace.com ("ClosetPace", "we", "us"). Questions: support@closetpace.com.
1. Data that stays on your device
ClosetPace works inside the Poshmark tab you are logged into. To do its job it reads information shown on Poshmark pages, such as your listing titles, listing IDs, likes and whether each listing is active. It stores its settings, schedules, run progress, activity log and keep-active data in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local).
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. We have no server that receives your closet, listing, buyer or activity data. Uninstalling the extension deletes it.
ClosetPace never asks for, reads, stores or transmits your Poshmark password.
2. Payments
Paid plans are processed by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe. When you start a trial or subscribe, ExtensionPay and Stripe receive your email address and, for paid plans, your payment details. We can see your email address, your plan and your payment history so we can provide support and issue refunds. We never see or store your full card number.
3. Optional error reports
If you turn on "Send anonymous error reports" in settings (it is off by default), ClosetPace sends us a short report when an automation step fails. A report contains only the name of the page element that could not be found (for example, "share button"), the extension version and the time. It contains no Poshmark username, listing data, closet data or personal information. You can turn it off at any time.
4. Configuration updates
Once a day the extension downloads a small, signed configuration file from closetpace.com that describes how Poshmark's pages are laid out, so we can fix breakage quickly after Poshmark changes its site. This request sends no user data beyond what any web request includes (such as your IP address, which our hosting provider may log briefly for security). The file contains data only, never code.
5. Phone alerts (optional)
If you enable phone alerts, ClosetPace sends a short message such as "ClosetPace paused: captcha waiting" to the free notification service ntfy.sh, on a private topic that only your phone subscribes to. The message contains no closet or listing data. Desktop notifications and alarm sounds are handled entirely by your browser.
6. The website and early access list
closetpace.com uses no advertising or analytics trackers and sets no tracking cookies. If you join the early-access list, we store your email address and the page you signed up from, and use it only to tell you when ClosetPace launches. We never sell or share it. Ask us to delete it at any time. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) for a limited period for security and operations.
7. What we never do
- We never sell or rent personal data.
- We never use or transfer data for advertising, creditworthiness or lending purposes.
- We never use data for purposes unrelated to ClosetPace's single purpose: helping you manage your own Poshmark closet.
ClosetPace's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Retention and your rights
Local extension data is kept on your device until you clear it or uninstall. Billing records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting. Error reports are kept for up to 90 days. Early-access emails are deleted after launch or on request.
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use by emailing support@closetpace.com. We respond within 30 days. Residents of California, the EU, the UK and other regions with data protection laws have these rights by law, and we extend them to everyone.
9. Children
ClosetPace is not intended for anyone under 18, consistent with Poshmark's own age requirements for sellers. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for material changes we will notify users in the extension before they take effect.
